Welcome to February. This month designated amongst other things as, Library Lovers Month. Are libraries still a thing? Well yes, they are here in our remote outpost, on Wisconsin’s northern frontier. Although I’m not certain that I’ve set foot in the building in the past year.
We’ve been away for a while and that is all on me. Other shinny objects and rabbit trails have had my attention. Many thanks to my friend and fellow Chicagoan for encouraging me to get back in the habit here.
Over the past few weeks we’ve had extreme cold weather followed by days of snow. Now here in Northern Wisconsin, this is the norm and not the exception for this time of year. In a conversation I was having today, we determined that we have about six to eight more weeks of this type of weather before we see signs of spring and the return of the tourist season.
I had a pleasant experience with a local business this week. Cashman Custom Leather is a local business here and I’m having Wade make me a couple of new leather items. Yes, photos will follow when completed.
We are currently three day’s away from a second possible government shutdown on the 15th of February. All of the pundits and pontificators are attempting to read the tea leaves and consulting with their associated oracles to see how this will all turn out. Since the dawning of history of government shutdowns, we as a people and a nation have managed to survive and move on with our lives. This in spite of the dire and dour warnings from the statist media outlets.
I’ve written previously about reading The Internet of Money. (Vol 1 & 2). I’m reading them again along with Blockchain Revolution. Both authors give a great look into the future of business, money, and how we will interact with each other in the exchange of value goods and services.
I’m going to keep this short and will be back with more in a timely manner. Thanks for reading and let me know your thoughts, comments and wittisisms. Please subscribe and share this with your friends, relatives and associates.
